Information on Incident Involving Members of the US Military Mission in Techentin (District of Schwerin)

Description: This information concerns the death of Major Nicholson, member of the US Military Liaison Mission, shot in March 1985 by a Soviet security guard in a restricted area. According to unofficial sources, neither the US nor the Soviet Union are interested in making this incident public, although Western media have already begun reporting on it. The document concludes that further measures are necessary to counter the espionage activities of the US Military Mission.
